I am debating upon starting a credit cousneling/ bankrtupcy track or starting to credit solutions for a debt settlement. Is it any good? i cnat do it unless they get a things talked WAY DOWN means i cant means a minimums upon my things now.
There are 3 suggestions to question “debt settlement companies, a good deal?”
Credit counselling will look like a chapter 13 to lenders. A settlement will be less detrimental to your credit score. If you are doing 1-time settlements, check out the source website–a lot of good info there.
Neither of these solutions are a good idea as far as your credit score is concerned. All of the options with the exception of bankruptcy show on your creidt report as a "Charge off". Bankruptcy, of course shows as bankruptcy. All of the options stated above damage your credit score. You can do anything that you pay the "not for profit" credit counseling agencies to do. Call the creditors, tell them you situation, they are going to be nasty. If you send them money every month, they are not going to sue you for the money due. You do not even have to pay the minimum payment. Just keep in touch with your creditors and don’t ignore them.
A good book to read would be, "The Total Money Makeover", written by Dave Ramsey. He has lots of good information. Easy read.
I have placed this in the source box. There is a wealth of information there and a great free debt management software program. I bookmarked the site as I return to it often for the advice it offers. I hope this helps you.
