There are 8 suggestions to question “Should I join the Military? My girlfriend is pregnant, and I have student loan debt in a horrible job market.?”

  1. neither of those are reasons for joining the military

  2. 1) Move out of the Rust Belt that is the Mid-west.
    2) Divorce your wife. The marriage tax break ends this year.
    3) Get the Fack off of yahoo answers and find some real help.
    4) Have a nice day.

  3. dont listen to rounder, those are great reasons of joining the army. you could go into the army and learn some skills to take back with you to the civilian life. and they treat army families very well

  4. just do that my son

  5. WITH PREXISTING CONDITION, THEY WILL NOT TAKE YOU!! DOING THIS OUT OF DESPERATION IS BAD IDEA!! FIND 2 JOBS IN FAST FOOD IF YOU HAVE TO

  6. Hey buddy I was once in a similar situation without the whole job stuff…. Got my girlfriend pregnant at a young age and I decided to enlist. I was already really thinking about it but thats what put me over the edge to do it. Hands down I love the Navy one of the best decisions of my life. Sounds like you already have a degree so try for officer but there is a option that you give up your G.I. Bill for your student loans to all be paid off. Talk to your girlfriend about it… Basic is only 2-3 months you will be fine. God bless.

  7. Well, Good for you for being smart and realizing you need to take care of your future family!

If you are able to join the military, and don’t hurt yourself…then I think that is a wonderful idea. But don’t join if your injuries are serious, because then you could injure yourself even more and that wouldn’t be a good situation for you.

Otherwise, I say try to find a regular part-time job, and possibly even two. It may not be the best job(s) in the world, but it will allow you to make some money while you try to figure something else out. A friend of mine worked two part-time jobs, and after a few months of looking while working was able to find a much better job as a medical receptionist. At least if your working a part-time job while looking you will be making and saving some money. Hope it helps, and Good Luck to you and your new family!

  8. The military may not even take you with such financial burdens. You will not make that much money so don’t think about getting rich quick.
