  1. Thank you for considering to serve. But only join the military if you are called to do so. It is certainly an admirable profession worthy of respect, but make sure to talk over te lifestyle and risks with your partner.

  2. You don’t say what you wish to do in the military. Do you have any special skills, interests or passions. That answer would help me help you. Me, as a young man i loved this movie…funny as hell called No Time For Sergeants. When i made the decision to go in the service i knew exactly the job i wanted. Supply Sergeant. .AIR FORCE!…had a ball…lol….BUT….it was a much different time.. If i were to go in now i would want to be in the Coast Guard. They are in the war everyday keeping the bad guys out. But that’s me…sounds to me though you’re going in due to economic situation…army needs fighters, they will make you a man…marines needs men DAY ONE…which one are you,…don’t wanna fight?…Air Force….no Navy for a new couple…just my opinion only. Coast Guard…nice coastal assignments…important job…if you’re not much of a swimmer u will b…grin…ok…now im selling…b4 u decide which branch is best 4 u and your family…u gotta know who u are and what u want in the future. The military will train you to do most any job…or it will make you a warrior…what do YOU want?….1975-79 USAF!

  3. Is the problem that caused the back pain been resolved? If not, the military are not likely to take you.

If you want a military career, great. But don’t enlist cause the job market sucks, you have outstanding student loans, and your girlfriend is pregnant. Military pay sucks and all those benefit ain’t quite as grand as you think. You sit on waiting lists for family quarters. Getting a doctor’s appointment for dependents at base medical facilities can be almost impossible due to limited personnel/facilities.
