Are you asking why we did not borrow money and use it to pay off the debt?

Hint: the money for the stimulus package is all borrowed money – in fact this borrowing is why the stock market is tanking.

And they are not ‘printing money’ to pay for the stimulus. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing not only requires that printed currency be bought from them – they charge an additional $0.003 per note to cover the printing costs.
Good question. Or, give EVERY American citizen about $50 grand, let us all get debt free, buy cars, buy homes, etc. etc. That would certainly help everything. Of course, it would need to be closely monitored, but Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck would be perfect "hall" monitors. And I’m serious….not kidding in the least. I love those three guys.
